Raw wool + Circular Materials

When looking at the circular value-chain of wool, some resources are still not used, eventually burned or thrown away. Part of the sheared wool is not sent to washing and is not transformed into textiles. Chemical extraction such as lanolin is also a practice that is currently not sustained in the Alps. Meanwhile, at the end of the cycle, second hand woolen textiles are looking for new lives, through reuse, upcycling, recycling. Good practices exist to value this type of wool such as a direct use in mulching/soil fertilisation, insulation or by creating new composite biomaterials.
