Wet Felting Rolling Machine
Automatized roll to support felting process
A felting rolling machine is used to roll and compress wool fibers, helping them bond together. It reduces the amount of manual work needed.
Input materials
Carded wool.
How to
1. Prepare a plastic foil on the table.
2. Prepare the wool : 1 layer with the fibers oriented in one direction, 1 layer with the fibers oriented in the other direction.
3. Add water with a watering can on top of the wool, cover with plastic foil, gently massage the fibers.
4. Open the plastic foil, add soap and more water if needed.
5. Roll the wool around a stick, attach it.
6. Put the wool into the rolling machine, adjust the hight of the rolls, turn on the machine.
7. Remove the wool after 15 minutes of rolling, open it, massage it, roll it again around the stick on the other direction.
8. Repeat this process until you obtain the felted texture desired, rince the wool, leave it to dry.
